Say "Oui!" to fall with a french apple tart
Minnesota apples meet fancy.
While we are certainly not French pastry chefs, our MN homegrown apples sure are tasty and make the main attraction of this dish, fresh and local.
Recipe: Experience the flavors of fall with this simple but elegant french apple tart recipe. Impress your tastebuds and your friends.
Hints: For a faster apple tart, skip making the pastry from scratch and use one sheet of frozen puff pastry, defrosted, instead. Make sure to roll it out to 10.5 by 10.5 inches and then proceed with the apples.
Suggested pairing: Vanilla ice cream
Compliments to the chefs:Jay made Ina Garten's french apple tart (photo) and for a guy who doesn't like baking, he did an excellent job. Translation: It's easy peasy! Thanks Jay and Ina for sharing your knack for culinary creations!
