I am on the same page with this boy 100%. Except for the fact that I don't want to know anymore about Palin-- I think I know enough now to make a more than sound decision that she is not ready to be in the White House.

Acting interested
Actors have long been politically active, sometimes notoriously so, as in the case of Jane Fonda's anti-war activism. More recently, Matt Damon, in a widely-seen YouTube interview, expressed his alarm at John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin.
Damon, who compared the idea of Palin being president to "a really bad Disney movie," asked, "I need to know—does she really think that dinosaurs were here on Earth 4,000 years ago?" (For the record, the answer to Damon's question is yes; according to the Los Angeles Times, Palin stated that she believes that dinosaurs and humans lived together on Earth about six thousand years ago.)
While many people (including, of course, the celebrities themselves) like to think that celebrity endorsements and criticisms influence legions of fans, the track record is far from impressive. Just because the public watches actors in films or listens to their music doesn’t necessarily mean that they will support whoever the celebrity likes. In 2003, America's then-reigning pop princess Britney Spears publically supported George W. Bush, yet her endorsement had no effect on his popularity.
Perhaps the most influential celebrity endorsement is that of Oprah Winfrey. After all, those featured on her book club enjoy a dramatic boost in sales. But there's a big difference between buying a book and voting based on who Oprah likes.
Celebs such as Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney have endorsed Barack Obama, while Sylvester Stallone and Robert Duvall are throwing their weight behind McCain.
While a celebrity may or may not be able to influence the vote, their ability to raise campaign funds is undeniable: Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are playing at an upcoming Obama fundraiser, and tickets won't come cheap.

This du' is MESSED up. So this is a Sarah Palin supporter, so um...if that doesn't say anything about this woman, I don't know what does. I am terrified of this woman and her followers.

Food for thought
Do we really want to be a part of a disney movie gone bad? In my opinion the fact that in some cases, half of Americans are still voting Republican and for a person like Palin, what progress have we made as a country over the years? What kind of judgment do we have as a nation? Can we just try and learn from history? Can Republicans or Republican supporters for the sake of freedom and what our constitution represents, take their pride and party for a moment and put it away? And can they just be a human being and take a genuine, honest and long hard look at the candidates and then look themselves in the eye or look their children or mother in the eye and say they are making a good decision by supporting McCain-Palin? Do you really trust these two people? I sure don't. If the answer is yes that they do trust them, then once again, I am very, very, very concerned for the direction we are heading as a country and as a people. And if the answer is yes, can somebody please speak up here and tell me some "straight talk" as to why I should believe? I am really curious, because I have not heard anything solid yet come from the Republican party on the main issues and it scares me that half of Americans are still okay with that silence!

Palin's Speech To Nowhere
So this morning was my day off from morning showers so I was able to watch a bit of Palin's acceptance speech at the RNC, and for time purposes, I had to actually switch to reading the text of her speech, which can be found here:

This is not the site I grabbed her speech from originally, but I think it provides the text. I don't have time now that it is later in the day to navigate google to search for the specific one I saw, but maybe later I will update. Regardless, Republican or Democrat, this speech was unimpressive to me, and the following article really encapsulates my feelings about it. As I was driving into work today I was listening to the news that basically uncovered a series of lies laced throughout her speech which really scares me actually-- that in her first speech delivered-- she had the guts or stupidity to say such ignorant things...and the scarier part? People willing to overlook the lies. Seriously, like the article says and fitting to my blog site, WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!
